Finding a relative after 1911

Any tips appreciated

I know my ancester married 1915, and they had a daughter in 1919

There were probably about 7 men with the same name living in the area at the time of about the right age.
Any way of checking which one of them he was?

Did the daughter marry? If you found her marriage certificate it should have an address for her at the time of the marriage which hopefully may have been the family home. You could then look up the electoral register for the address at the local library.

The daughter was unmarried and died aged 23 after having a baby (my dad), we know the area so i guess we could trawl through
We do have the birth cert
Thanks

You could check WW1 records with the possible husband(s) names and see if she is mentioned.

Also, do you have her full DOB, you could then search for a death using her first name only.

Have you checked the daughters birth using the mothers maiden name? Edit: Sorry I see you have her birth cert. What is the fathers name and occupation?

If you don't have access to the surviving records, then post the names and we can take a look.

What was the womans name/DOB/place please?

You say that the man married in 1915 ...buy the cert for full info about him

Actually I made a mistake - there were 2 Lily's in the area at the time and of course I didn't realise - the other died the same year I relaised.
My new great granfather had an unusual first name, so much easier to track
I am a bit new to the game, many thanks
