is there any where in the uk it would be possible to find out if my birth mother had other forenames as i was adopted the only paper work i have is the court order for my adoption also my birth certificate i have one fore name but if she had 2 it would make my task of finding my birth family so much quicker |

David, have you applied to have access to your adoption file? If not, you need to do so, as there might be more info in there which may help you. |

I would have thought that if there is only one forename on your birth certificate and on the court order then it is likely that she only has one. |

The name on your birth cert should be her full name |

Try the social services in the area you were born. If they don't have your file they should be able to point you in the right direction. |
