I have the birth certificate for Francis Oliver Curtin born 1937 at 22 Berkeley Rd Dublin City. P or R Rooney was the informant and present at the birth of the same address. Possible midwife or relative?

His parents were Thomas Curtin, (Builder) of St Brendan's, Hemish Rd Cabra and Christina Curtin nee Pollard. Christina was my Mum's eldest sister.

They had another son born in Dublin in March 1940. He died in Paddington Hospital London Oct 1940. (I knew about his death from my Mum)

Thomas and Christina Curtin were back in Dublin during the rest of the war.

The mystery is what happened to Francis Oliver Curtin?

There was no mention of him by my Mum and my cousins didn't know of him either.

I can't find a death registration for him in Ireland, London or anywhere else!

I have other living cousin's born in the 1930's too!

It seems very odd that no one else in our family has heard anything about this Francis Oliver Curtin.

Perhaps there is another Thomas and Christina Curtin nee Pollard who also lived in Dublin at the same time......

Or maybe my late aunt had a 'fling' with someone else and he was adopted by the birth father's family.
I do know my aunt's first husband Thomas Curtin was in the Royal Inis Killing Fusiliers in 1940 as per their other son's death certificate in London.
