Sorry if this is a silly question ... What does it mean on a birth certificate if it says the mothers name then says 'late' Doran 'formally' Leonard ...which one is her name on her birth certificate? |

It normally means the mother was previously married, so its her previous married name and her Maiden name |

My great aunt was married 3 times. I have just looked at one of her children's certs to be sure I've got it in the correct order. |
