Workhouse Records

Hi, I am trying to locate the records from the workhouses within Wolverhampton, Dudley and surrounding areas. I am asking if anyone knows this as I am trying to find the records from when my granny clara was taken into the workhouse from burton road hospital.

I hope someone can advise me on where I can get this information from!

Wolverhampton archives seem to have the records for Wolverhampton Workhouse, Bilston Road.

There's some images on the Black Country History site

If it was Seisdon workhouse, the surviving records are at Stafford Record Office.

Normally people were sent to the workhouse covering theie home parish.

Records under 100 years old may be closed due to data protection.

Not to sure but would think would come under Dudley area for Burton Rd Hospital did come under that area.
Contact dudley archives to see if they hold any records etc.,
