I know her mother did live in Torquay for a bit

I've hit a blank on her parents, possible mothers maiden name is Williams
and thats about it

The birth with mmn Williams is Cynthia without a middle name.

Where does the Maud come from. Did she marry, that would give her fathers name hopefully.

If you go to the search tab... top right of your screen.... and click on Search all member trees.... you can search for other people researching Cynthia.

Don't be too precise on dates as freebmd site shows it is an uncommon combination of names

from what little I can find, her father may be Christian G Hansen

Who did she marry

There is a marriage in 1955 to a Stone and a death for a Cynthia Maud Stone but the age is way out

Death: May 1997 - Cardiff, Glamorgan, Monmouthshire, Wales

Marriage is correct as you seem to be one of her children.....Is she still alive or is that not her death?

This is confusing and a big difference in ages.

Please could you tell us how you connect to Cynthia and perhaps we can take it back one step at a time.............

Do you have the marriage cert? if not it may be a good idea to purchase it as it will name a father (if known) and give her age but again that may not be correct of course

the 22 nov is spot on, so looks like the revised date is also right
The marrige in 1955 is also correct

This Cynthia fits better with the record of death, although we don't know middle name............

What - if any - documentation do you have relating to the lady?

As you aren't sure of her father's identity, is that because her parents didn't marry?

The only Christian G Hansen on freebmd was born in 1931, and married in 1956

Now have a marriage 9/6/1955 for her

and mother and farthers name

Elsie Williams and George Hansen

And dob for her sister Barbara D Hansen 1926

Do you have the marriage cert? does it say she was 32? who registered her death?

Barbara has the mmn as Williams that was not Cynthias her father was Williams mother Martin...unless she was born 1931??

You seem to be coming up with different info each time you post.

Do you have ANY documents actually relating to CYNTHIA?

No point in ordering a birth cert until you know you have the right birth

...................getting the marriage cert would make much more sense

Have to agree with Reggie.

No point in sending for the birth certificate, without getting the marriage certificate first. That should hopefully name her father and her age may help. You can then order what you think is the correct birth certificate. You will then confirm whether or not you have the right birth certificate when you check the fathers name on it.
