HI I am trying to trace any details of the whereabouts of my great grandmother Louisa between the date of her birth in Hull in 1845 and her marriage to Stephen Maxted in 1866 in Margate. I have details of her life after 1866 but not before. Can anyone help me please. |

Throw this idea into the mix - she is just old enough to have been married before so again it is back to the marriage cert |

I have applied for MC and BC. The information I had for her married life came from my family members who are now unfortunately deceased. Other information has been from other members of Genes but they do not have any further information listed. |

As the 1861 census safc found was a Penitentary I looked in newspapers but the only info there was for her marriage on 12/10/1866 to Stephen Maxted at Margate. |

I now have BC and MC. Confirm mother Hannah Crompton & father Thomas Brusby, she was born in 1845 in Hull not Newcastle. Father on marriage cert. Thomas Brusby. She was also a spinster when married. |

Thanks, but I really want to know Louisa's whereabouts between birth and marriage. 1845 - 1866 How did she get from Newcastle to Margate? |

As she was in the penitentiary in 1861 in Newcastle she must have moved to Margate sometime between 1861 and 1866 |
