Hi, I am looking for the name of the registration district 1A in 1953. Trying to order a death certificate in Newcastle area. I know in 1956 the Newcastle district was 1B - the GRO are asking me for the district name of 1A, even though I have given them the name, volume number and page no..... I can't recall from my visit to the archives 2 weeks ago what the district name was for 1A in 1953.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :-(
