Is there a move afoot to try to get the 1921 census made available before 2021? Is there a petition to sign? Bob |

There probably is a petition somewhere....but I doubt whether it will happen before 2022 |

I would love to see my name on a census. |

I have mixed feelings about publishing the 1921 census earlier. I do respect the privacy of people who are alive now who would be on that census. Whilst I have no family myself who are still alive from that time, I do know friends and in-laws relatives who were alive then and would love to see themselves. After all, their vital records re: births and marriages are in the public domain. |

The government has apparently said that under no circumstances will the 1921 census be released early, unlike the 1911 Census which was released a few months early. |

To be honest, the best census for family historians was the 1911 with the 'children' part. |

Whilest appreciating that many of the older members won't be active researchers, what happened to waiting? |

The 1921 census was more detailed than the 1911 one although the items about dead children and infirmities were dropped. |
