If you go on the website for scotlandspeoplehub you will be able to view what information is available in each parish's OPR's. For the parish of Aberdour,Aberdeenshire, Births, 1698 - 1783, 1783- 1819, 1820 -54.Marriages, 1698 - 1751, 1786 - 1819, 1820 - 1854, Deaths, 1786 - 1819, 1847 - 54.
Note the gaps! The OPR's are incomplete for various reasons. The article will give explanations. We are fortunate that the gravedigger's notebook survived & that is why you have the interment details for Margaret. For your information, Samuel Anderson, who died in Ardlawhill, was interred on 29th September 1820 in Aberdour. The baptism of their first child, Henrietta, 8th April 1773, states Samuel Anderson in Killywharn...by his wife . It was common for some ministers to only note the father's name.In this instance it confirms the couple were married & their child was legitimate. Henrietta was my 4gt.grandmother which means we are related:)

As Margaret died after her husband, it is highly likely she went to live with relatives after she was widowed, given her age. This could explain why she was living in a different parish. If I remember correctly the gravedigger's notes state the lairs the deceased were buried in. Women were often referred to by their maiden name in Scotland. I do not think there is a headstone for Samuel & Margaret though:(
