Is it possible to find a burial place for someone who died in Battersea in 1956. that's if she was buried and not cremated. Trying to find a last resting place so her grandson could visit.
Many thanks
Phyll

try Deceased Online website , or buy the death cert and contact the local council Parks & Cemeteries dept giving them the details from the cert .

Burials and cremations then were in local council hands

And one thing to remember.

Where the New Covent garden market is. There used to be a church and a graveyard which have now long gone..

Would not affect a 1956 burial etc. but for others looking in the area is well worth remembering.

My family are mainly in Tooting (Battersea and Wandsworh folk)
