Thanks everyone. I am still new to this Family Tree set-up and apologise for repeating my searches. Forgive an old lady who really is grabbing at straws.The problem is that my grandfather's name changed due to language difficulties when he arrived in Africa. Now I will try the Kingdom of Serbia. But so many in this part of my family have different countries that they believe he came from i.e.Austria or Poland. So unless we hunt up the original family bible from 1880's, this going to be a struggle. |

My great grandfather Antonie born 1860, left either Poland, Yugoslavia or Austria in either late 1870's or early 1880's for South Africa. He married and had 5 children. He eventually settled in Southern Rhodesia now known as Zimbabwe. |
