Did your Slevin come to Scotland before or after 1901? If after, he would probably be on the 1901 Irish Census. There is only one Slevin listed in Enniskillen, a 46 year old single woman, first name could be Therasa. There are 23 Slavins listed. There is only one who could be Joseph's family and the father of the family I Patrick (same as Joseph's first child). |

Sorry my mistake 1896 was the correct date for the marriage. Just checked the BC to make sure. |

ArgyllGran, if that is the correct family in the 1901, given the ages of the children, 1896 would be a better date for the marriage - that Joseph would only have been 10 in 1889. |

I checked just in case, but they didn't marry in Scotland, per ScotlandsPeople. |

Just wondering where you got the marriage date from as nothing is coming up in Ireland Marriage Registrations for 1889 |

Do you mean he lived in Lanarkshire before, or after, his marriage? |

If he died in Lanarkshire, his d.cert would show his parents, assuming the informant knew that info. You would have to purchase the d.cert thru SP. |
