I am trying to trace Louisa. Born 1861 Boulton Derbyshire Q3 7b/333. Last reference is 1891 census living with parents William & Annie. Sister Annie S and my grandmother Sophia Jane Wills in Shardlow. Why I'm interested in Louisa is that I suspect that she may be Sophia's mother. Previously we have tried to find birth details of Sophia but no luck but she lived with the Smith family from age 3 to 23+ which is why I think she may be the mother. Any suggestions? Thanks |

Thanks all. Sophia's father as per her marriage cert is Harry James Board Wills. She married William Parrott in Oxford on 13/8/1910. Sophia first appears on 1881 census with the Smith family then in 1891 & 1901. I have searched everywhere I can think of to find Sophia with no luck so thought following Louisa Smith may help. Her sister Annie I have been able to trace but Louisa is a mystery. For Sophia to live with the Smiths for so long and then they raised her illegitimate son up to the 1911 census as this is as far as we can trace him - surely it must mean something. Hence trying to trace Louisa . Thanks to genesreunited friends I have contacted her son's living family. The sons name is Henry Inness Wills (on 1911 census) Both Louisa & Annie are not at the Smith residence on the 1911 census. Any thoughts? Thanks |

Thanks I have looked into travel but could not find her. A friend has found a death of a Louisa Smith Q1 1892 Islington London 1B/193 aged 30. I don't know if buying the death cert will prove anything. Also a few marriages so will try to follow them up. Many thanks for the help. |
