Where did you get your information about Maureen marrying Douglas Hutchins in 1954?

There is a marriage in Plymouth in 1956 of a Douglas Hutchins to a Jennifer Harris.

Thanks for the information on 23rd Nov 2013 - have only just found your message I am sorry to say - still trying to find my way round computers and in particular G.R. So many areas on the site to discover - all very confusing, particularly for an 'older member'. In any event I shall endeavour to follow up the data and see if I can trace the trees on which Glynis is entered. Incidentally, my connection is that Hilda Cubitt is my Grandmother (Elizabeth's) sister, which I guess makes me cousin to Maureen and Jean and possibly either second cousin or first cousin once removed to Glynis and Janet? If you use free bmd you will find that Stephen, Susan and John have middle names to help in identification.

The older two appear to have been born in Oldham, but the younger in Bristol?

All 3 of these are only in their 50's/60's.

Similarly for Glynis and Janet.

As Reggie said at the end of October - Look in 'search all trees'. The odds, although not impossible, are extremely low that a relative will come across this thread.

You can extend your research yourself by using Freebmd to look for the marriages and births of children of the later marriages. Use their father's surname and their mother's maiden name and a relevant time range of say from the year of their marriage to about 10 years afterwards.

Only the BC would conclusively tell you if they were related to your family, but its a start.

Hilda Cubitt b 1903 Romford married George Harris b 1898 in India where he served in the Army. Their two daughters Maureen b 1932 and Jean b 1931/2 were born there too. I believe that Maureen married a Douglas Hutchins in 1954 and had 3 children: Stephen b 1954 : Susan b 1955 and John b 1957 whereas Jean married William Forbes in 1953 and had Janet b 1958 and Glynis in 1956. Does anyone have a link or know of any living relatives please?

Looking for living relatives of Hilda and George Harris (b1903). They had two daughters Maureen and Jean (possibly born in India where he served in the Indian Army.) Are there any living relatives out there?
