Stuck on Samuel Slaney born 1787

I'm trying to find him on the census, and also his wife's maiden name. I have a possible father for him as Matthew Slaney, but I'm trying to put more meat on Samuel's bones really. He was born c1787 in Cuckney, Notts and married in 1808 to Ann (married in Mansfield Woodhouse, Notts). This is from the IGI. Their string of kids were: Sarah, Rosamund, Mary, Ann, Harriet, Samuel (child death), Eliza (child death) and another Samuel. Kids all born between 1808 and 1828 in Mansfield Woodhouse, Notts so the couple obviosuly lived there. My connection is the youngest child named Samuel; but I cant even find him in 1841 or 51. Im intrigued by this family because I think the name is of Irish origin (maybe wrong). If anyone has any free time and is looking for a challenge I'd appreciate it. Have a good evening all. x |

I saw that one but the birth is so far out and I havent placed Esther yet. Although she was prob the Esther baptised in Cuckney. Just a big age difference for Rosamund, mine was born c1813. |

Oh my goodness. The men all died so young, its very sad. They all lived in slums by Nottingham canal as well, its very grim. Thankyou Kucinta, I just hadnt realised he'd had an early death too. |
