You (or a local relative) need to contact the Cemetery where she is supposed to be buried.

They will tell you the section and plot number. With that information someone can go and have a look for you. If they are feeling co-operative, the Bereavement Officer might even do it and take a photo of the grave.

Deceasedonline.com have added a lot of cemetery records. Although 2010 might be too recent, its worth having a look

Can you remember the name of the Cemetery, or at least the area? If you are finding it difficult, can Jan remember? Or how about asking your granddaughter?

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 14 Nov 2013 11:35

There is a tree on Ancestry with a Sonny williams who died in 1991 and his father was a Rex Williams.

Charles Edward (Sonny) Williams
Birth 06/17/1932 in Stewart, Tn
Death 10/30/1991 in South Carolina, USA

Might help Dutch?

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 14 Nov 2013 11:44

Were, roughly, did she live? Was it in England or as Mel suggests, in the USA?

What was her surname when she died? Although 2010 is too late to be included on the GRO index, if she did die abroad there might be records available.

Dutch,

You might want to jog your memory and read this thread:

Scattering the ashes was mentioned at one point.

The other thread says that her ashes were scattered on The river Mersey, not interned.
