I have been looking through this pedigree tree that goes WAY WAY WAY BACK! I am wondering if it is even reliable as a guide. It sounds convincing but then it starts to go back to mythology and greek deities of which none exist so that is why I am wondering. Here is the link from one of my distant ancestors. It can be complicated as there is so much but keep following it if you can. http://fabpedigree.com/s073/f255028.htm |

Any information you get from someone else's tree needs to be checked piece by piece before you include it in your own tree. |

Many people who have been doing this for a very long time, prior to internet would say that you need 3 means to prove that person is yours. |

Yes exactly. That is what I mean. It mentions Zeus and such to be quite evidently frank, those Mythical Deities did not exist. So that is why I started to assume. I tried to contact the creator of the site but the email is invalid that I got from the site. It is the same with many other trees. I have found SO many matches by searching and I either get a reply similar to saying "I don't know, I copied it" or I just don't get a reply at all. That is why I turn to these forums to ask for opinions and advice. I am going to be adding the information separate to my confirmed information and I have already made a HUGE note in my sources file about it. :-) |

I would like to contact the person who made this website but his email is invalid. Any ideas? |

Daniel, I'd say avoid like the plague! Jamie even says himself on the home page: |

OK. I thank you all for the input. I at the moment am looking at the "A prosopography of medieval European noble and royal families". This provides a large amount of information with 100s and 100s of sources. But as well as this, I usually have many other informative sites up and trees to just help as guides and possible eras. |
