Long forgotten place names have a habit of being used on nearby developments and their is a street called Somersdeane not far from Worthing, |

You may be able to work out from the records where he might have been in 1881, although they will probably just say Home with number of years he served here or India with number of years, for example |

There's a record on FMP for a Frederick Peters of Rifle Brigade, born Worthing 1858. That might be him. Perhaps someone on here can look it up for you |

I have a Fredercik William Peters born abt 1860 in Edburton, Findon, Sussex. Registration district not known as 2 other F W Peters reg in steyning are the wrong ones. |
