Is the situation that you have put this person in twice married to the same spouse with some children assigned to one and some assigned to the other?

If so pick the one that is most correct to keep. The children have the facility to edit the parents so change the parents to the correct one for each child.

When you have removed all the children it should be possible to delete the wrong parent.

You know that if you try to delete someone who's a root relation how difficult it can be? Well - is there any way to sort it out apart from deleting EVERYONE and starting all over again? Please help!
