I have traced the families through the census and found a branch of a Morgan family tree on a Powys Family History site Thomas Morgan from Montgomery married Alice Stubbs in 1879 and I traced the baptism of two of their children to Llandyfodwg
Both on Jan 3rd 1883 John Stubbs Morgan and Sarah Jane Morgan . Llandyfodwg is near Bridgend . The family emigrated to Australia in 1883. Also I know the names are very common ,but the two families are so similar I thought there may be a link.

The only way to prove (or not) any link is to do some careful research.

If you want help, post the census transcriptions - so that details can be seen on here.

.......and say which year(s) they are for.................

Buy a copy of the marriage cert, to find out Jane's father's details (if she knew them)

.Trying to find out if there is a link between the Morgan families on these two census. Looking for a link between Jane Morgan who married Edward Thomas in Saint Brides Major and Thomas Morgan aged 16 in Llanwnog Newtown Montgomery . Could she be an Aunt ? I thought her parents might be the parents of Thomas's Father (her mothers age is older on the wedding record .She would have been 18 not 16) but I see they have a son named Thomas in Saint Brides Major .So I doubt that they would have had two with the same name . I see that sons William and Thomas are 26 and 27 in 1871 16 and 17 in1861,but in 1851 they are listed as 7 year old twins . They are the same people as the address is the same ? Is there a connection in the families or are they two different families

EDIT . I have posted the Transcripts now.
