Ok
Well that is the GRO ref

You tick the box that asks if the GRO ref is known then use the ref in the appropriate boxes further on in the order form

It's the Year ,qtr . Area ,page nos etc

Only state the name as listed on the ref. don't add anything like second names etc

Researching:
Surname Fahse. Germany. Essex .South East London My avatar is one of our wedding photos of 1957

I am hoping to apply for a copy of a birth certificate, and it asks if the GRO is known...would that be the page no ie 838?? as i can't seem to see anything that actually states GRO number
