I see what you mean, there are quite a few on the 1871 census born at that time in Liverpool.

If he's a direct ancestor which child do you descend from? Much easier to work back from there.

sorry i dont know who his wife was i cant find thomas so cant find a wife .
he had children one of whom was thomas patrick hughes born 1892 in liverpool also jane,william john and robert thomas patrick was married to jane griffin who was born dudley west midlands 1871

We really do need to now who he married or the names of his children. Hughes is such a common name in Liverpool it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Who did Thomas marry?
Have you seen a copy of his marriage certificate which hopefully names his father and the occupation of both of them

hi all,
does anyone know of a site that lets you find the children in the marriage like the old lds site when you put in the parents names it brought up all the children in that marriage? also i have been searching for my ggrandparents but am confused!!! as to how do i know who the right person is when all i have is his name and dob and place of birth, when there are 6 people born with the same name within a year of each other and all born in the same place? i hope all of this makes sense.
