I have found a newspaper report of 5 young boys stealing a writing desk from mrs Mcpherson's home.My ancestor Nimrod Gardner + William laycock were the older ones ;The case was remanded how do i found out what the verdict was ? |

Whatever the verdict was it didn't seem to deter them .In 1864 Nimrod +William are back in the news aged 13 -14 (Cheshire Observer 2 feb 1867) for breaking into a druggist shop with a 3rd boy Richard Davies; Again sent for trial ...try ancestry criminal pages . |

Is the 8 yr old boy James Gardner, who drowned at Morpeth Docks near Birkenhead when fishing for crabs a relative? The article says he was the son of Nimrod Gardner of Fore-Street, Birkenhead. |

RE the Bugbrooke chap. It's 1858-1859. Seems to be taking issue with the Bugbrooke Society for not giving him sick pay, and whether he is half blind, dicky hip etc.or possibly swinging the lead... |
