I read somewhere that the cockney rhyming slang 'Knockers' comes from 'Knocker's rests', those pleasant mornings when you were spared being woken up by the knocker, and could enjoy a lie-in.

On the 1911 census I have an occupation as "Caller Up"" working for The Midland Railway.
I have been trying to look it up but no luck. Could anyone help ??
