Well, it was bound to happen some day - they don't give anything away for nothing, and they haven't been answering support questions for a while.

Really good of them to allow a non-member to share their tree, if a member asks - but the non-member won't be able to see any other trees :-P

I'm registered with Mundia, but haven't had this e-mail.

We are retiring Mundia

Over the years we have built up a variety of products that enable our users to discover, preserve and share their family history.

We recognize that there are a lot of ways that we, as a company, can make family history easier, more accessible and more fun for people all over the world.

In order to do this, we need to focus on our core offerings to ensure we’re delivering the best service and best product experience to our customers. To that end, we’ve decided to invest more aggressively in our core Ancestry.com business and plan to retire the Mundia service.

Starting on September 5, 2014, Mundia.com trees will become part of Ancestry and be available in English, French, German, Italian, Swedish and Spanish.

We understand the value this service has brought you in discovering your family history around the world during your time as a member. To keep the discoveries you’ve made, we will be making your family tree accessible to you through Ancestry.com for free. This site will enable you to make edits to your family tree and share it with others.

To preserve the family trees you have created in your native language, we encourage you to download your GEDCOM file while logged into the Mundia site before September 5, after which time your family trees may not be offered in your native language on Ancestry.com.

For further questions, please visit our FAQ page or contact Member Services at [email protected].

BIG DEAL, where is the big favour they are doing by "making your family tree accessible to you through Ancestry.com for free."?
