Have you found a marriage for his parents?
It might be that instead of looking for, say, William Smith, son of John Smith and Mary Jones, that you need to look for William Jones, son of Mary Jones.

Hi everyone, Im new on here after about 8 years of being away so learning all over again...we had some snippet of information at a recent funeral that Ive been asked to look into...my question is this; the date and name I have been given to check a registered birth is showing up as a different mothers name and area??? Now I know its spelt correctly as its my husband

is there another place i can check the details? I know I cant see adoption records but im stuck for ideas xx
