As you say, looks like Richard and Jane together in 1911 with Annie now described as niece rather than sister. Age 2 in 1901 so perhaps not the child of Annie (Senior) then aged 51

Not seeing any military records post attestation and transfer to Royal Scots. There is just the Medal CArd annotated with date of entry into theatre of war 14.8.1914. Awarded the 1914 Star and the Victory and British Medals. Remarks KIA (Killed in Action)
