Sylvia they are only the transcripts,,,,,,,,I've done many searches on them and so far bar 2 have matched the images I have of Scottish BDM from SP which is over 150.

There are a lot of complaints about these records on the FMP Facebook page.

Mistranscriptions, place names wrong.

And the Yorkshire ones are even worse!!!!!

Oh and Scottish has 2 T's. The Scots are very particular. :-D

are they any better than what you can see on ancestry, or on familysearch?


are they similar to what can be found on the subscription site Scotlands People??

Findmypast has now added.Transcriptions of Scottish.

Baptisms & Births.1564-1950.

Marriages.1561--1910.


Only pre 1855 transcriptions include detailed information.... Post 1855 records will still need to be applied for/(bought) for full entry details.
