Hi all. Thank you so much for all the information provided and the time people have spent. I believe, at least for now, that I have enough information to further my quest. If I get stuck I'll be back. |

Just for helpers ref, I have been in touch ( yesterday) with Kathryn and PMd several marriages which may be the Thelwell/Bunter children and as one appears to be named as witness on the 2nd marriage cert seems likely to be correct, have Pmd 'possible' child to one marriage and link to someone now living if Kathryn decides to follow up when she has worked through the info. |

Hi again, I'd typed a reply but it doesn't seem to have sent. Thank you so much for the information provided and the private message. Am going to look into that marriage very soon once we've had tea. I've been on the phone for ages hence my taking time to reply. I know in 1911 William was single. I find him later on the passenger list coming into Liverpool in 1922 but it doesn't say whether he's single or not, will have to check that again. I see that marriage to Beatrice Bunter they had four daughters, maybe this is the one. It seems perhaps too much of coincidence that it can't be as you say they were in Stockport and then you find them in Kent. I do love these mysteries but even more so when they get solved. |

This is just a guess, as it is a couple of years before William's marriage? |

There are a few marriages for a William H Thelwell but they seem to match up to births of that name in those locations and as far as I can see none of those only had two daughters?. As he was in the navy possibly he married overseas? |

Hello, William Henry Thelwell was born about 1886/87 son of Thomas Thelwell and Mary Thelwell nee Brokensha in Stockport, Cheshire. He married the wife of my grand uncle in 1961 at the age of 74, she was 71 and her name was Jessie Amelia Bryant nee Morton. On their marriage certificate William is given as being a widower and living at the time of their marriage at 1A Beaconsfield Road, Chatham, Kent. |
