My relative was born John Nind in 1924 the fathers name was Frederick and the Mother Gladys. The mothers maiden name Smith. The parents were married at the time of the birth. The marriage did not last and the mother married a George Holbrook in 1937. John Nind somehow became john Holbrook and I am trying to find out if this was a legal name change or adoption as on original birth at the bottom of the page his name appears and beside it it says "see M38 |
