I have found John Banner on both the 1851 (born Breadsall) and 1861 (born Greasley) censuses. I have found his baptism as 1804 in Breadsall which is where his mother Christian Bonnington & her family were from. There are a lot of Banners around that time in Greasley so I speculate that John was born in Greasley and baptised in Breadsall (also where his parents were married). |

I am back on the case to make headway with my Banner family but am stuck at James Banner born/baptised in 1776? in Breadsall? (though I do not know where I got that information). James and Christian were married in Breadsall on 24/5/1804. Their children are John (1804-1861), Sarah (1816) and Joseph (1820) - I have not found any others but the gap between 1804 and 1816 is quite big. |
