I've found a burial record for Harriet Hughes (Jun 1881 Coberley, Glos) and want to order the death certificate but I can't find the entry on Ancestry. Am particularly intrigued as she was 37 and was only married a couple of weeks beforehand. Are there gaps on Ancestry? |

I would say this was it but don't know why it would take so long to register her death. |

Thanks everyone - looks like it's the 1882 cert. Her burial record has a note re coroner and I have looked in the newspaper archives but there's no Glos papers 1880-1884 - typical :-D |

Death could only be registered after inquest, so burial could well be before registration, if permission had been given. |

The burial was on the 7 June 1882. Whoever transcribed it didn't notice that half the page was for 1881 and the bottom 5 were for 1882. |
