My 2x gt grandfather born 31/12/1844 does have the number and street name (London) his father registered the birth so the mother was down as his wife when she was still married to someone else. |

If England and Wales, the format hasn't changed to more recent ones. The only difference is that it may not give exact addresses, just an area. |
