Please can anyone help me locate the above-named since she appeared in the 1911 census, showing her as 8mths and being born in Flax Bourton, Somerset? Her father is Francis Sandford Derrick and her mother is Elizabeth Agnes Griffin. I have a photo taken by my father of "Frances at Backwell in 1930". She doesn't appear to be wearing a wedding ring so I presume she is still single. Her mother is the sister of my paternal grandmother, but I don't seem to be able to find any proof of a middle name for Frances Derrick, and the only marriage I find is for a Frances E. Derrick to a Mr Cole. I have had the pre-mentioned photo for many years, but as my father died when I was young and my mother had no idea of any of his cousins, it has been a mystery up to now who she was. There appear to be numerous Derricks in Somerset so I'm not too sure where to look now and would be grateful for any help I can get. Thank you. |

A tree on Ancestry says that she was born July 1910, daughter of Francis Sandford Derrick, (1879-1937) and Elizabeth Agnes Griffin, (1883-1970). |

The tree also says that Francis Sandford Derrick was the son of Henry Sandford Derrick, (1848-1917) and Fanny Jane Cottle, (1854-1935). |

GR participants always amaze me with their prompt and useful researches. Now I will try and contact the descendants of Frances, but I am so grateful for the help you have given to set me on the right road. Some of the info. provided is just assuming it is one and the same, but as dad's picture is taken at Backwell it must be the right one. Thank you all once again. |

Thank you Thelma for that. I had sussed out that Ronald and Clifford had died, but did not know that Ronald had a daughter. That gives me a lead to now research. |
