I am trying to find the maiden name and any information about the wife of Leslie Simmonds born in Cheshire in 1920, married in Glasgow in 1946 and died in Cheshire in 2006 The only information I have is that her Christian name was Roberta and they had 3 children called Maureen, Graham and David. Any information about Roberta would be gratefully received so thank you in advance.

Ann. Is that Leslie's wife Roberta's maiden name or Leslie's own mothers maiden name?. All the info is correct but Leslie's mother's maiden name was Coathup Sorry if I am being a bit slow on the uptake here

Just shows how easy it is to get people confused when entries are so close together. Thanks Ann and Shirley for your time. There are supposed to be Scottish records on ancestry but although I am a fully paid up member I don't seem to be able to access them.

the only scottish records on Ancestry are the census up to 1901

the 1911 census has to be accessed through Scotlands People

Her name was Robertina C Brown- I believe she was born 1918 in Glasgow- but the marriage cert will confirm age.
