Family disappears after 1966. Emigration checks?

I've been trying to find living people who may be able to tell me about my grandfather's later years. I identified some people I believe are related to his last wife but the trail goes cold after a birth in 1966. As i can't find any further mention of any of 4 children, I'm guessing the family emigrated. Are there any modern records to check? |

in the 1960s a popular destination for emigration was Australia ... other possibilities are Canada, the US and South Africa |

The Australian national archives hold files for immigration – not sure what the cut off date is. |

Come to think of it, the Ask a Librarian service could possible tell you where they were living after the last ER year shown on Ancestry. |
