Help i cannot find a birth for lovell james carter born 1916.i have found a lovell best.
im not sure if carter is his last name as i can not find births for any of his brothers or sister not sure if his mother changed there last name to carter. his mothers name was Helen she married john walker in 1927 in pontypool.
siblings names Ernie,albert, Len and Albrave

How certain are you that Helen and John married? The only Walker marriage coming up in 1927 for Pontypool is

Thats the one i found as thats the only Lovell James that i can find with the same month and year of birth, but thanks for looking

how do you know his mother is helen carter if you cant find a birth for him?

Have you purchased Helen's MC? She might have named her father which could lead to her original birth surname.

Family, but i have my doubts. I sent for Helens marriage certificate and her daughters, and fathers name comes back as john carter for both.
I have asked a few questions with the older family but they just say its in the past and it should stay there.

Sorry 1929 her last name was carter.
Helen passed away in 1942 in Christchurch
but as i said i think she changed her last name due to an ex partner.

Helen was born 1892 but i dont know were. thanks for the help.

I have been told she had half brothers and sister Henry and jessie Foreman and a brother Thomas not sure of his last name. Helen was the youngest.

I think she changed her name as Albert didn't die before she married Mr Walker!!

You could look on here at lovell Best and leonard Best ,some one has him in her tree and is also connected to the Walker female born to Helen and John Walker.

Mary your right I went to Hampshire this weekend to look around the church yards and found helen her son is there also with the name best and her mother foreman Jones but thank you so much I can start looking again
