Can anyone tell me whether it is acceptable to attach BMD certificates onto your tree ?

If so, is acceptable to share certificates, or does this breach copywrite ?

Welcome to the boards Tony.

As far as I'm aware there is nothing wrong with attaching certificates (although you could always ask Genes to be sure).

I'm pretty sure you are not breaking any copyright in sharing certificates.

EDIT - you can certainly add them to your keepsafe. This is on the homepage of Genes:-

"Keepsafe

Now you can keep all your family photos and records in one place

Upload your family photos, letters, certificates and other documents.
Save records you find on the site and attach them to relatives.
Organise your photos, scanned documents and records into folders.
Share them with other members and see photos added by other people."

Welcome to the boards, Tony.

Assuming it's a GR tree you mean, there doesn't seem to be anything against it:

Provided you comply with this document (particularly with data protection for living individuals) there is no problem.

It probably wouldn't be wise to make public or share a cert of a person who is still alive. Their privacy needs to be considered.
