If anyone can help I would appreciate it, there are records on find my past I would like to read, if any one has any spare credits..
I have access to Ancestry if any one wants any info in return.

Is this the person you are looking for? I found this in British Newspaper Archives on Genes. It was the first result that came up when I typed in his name. Do you have any credits on Genes? The full article may tell you more.

Thank you so much for your reply , I knew what he had done as but I was after where he was sent to for the 5 year sentence he had.

as he had only been married a short time then before he went on the run for 3 years then he had a 5 yr sentence , his wife waited for him all that time..

The same paragraph as above is all that appears in the Gloucester Echo Fri 15 Nov 1901 found on The British Newspaper Archive but no more.

Also in the Southern Reporter, Fri 15 November 1901

…"for embezzlement, theft and forgery carried out in connection with the deposits in the Savings Bank. The defalcations amounted to £1,155.

Clatworthy was a local preacher of the Wesleyan body as well as a class leader. Mr Justice Phillimore described his proceedings as organised hypocrisy".

No mention of where he was sent.
