Thanks for your info which I already have. The 1911 census states my g.mother Mary Hodgson as head of household so there is a gap from my mother's birth Dora 1907 and 1911 census. I cannot find any death info on William. |

Why do you think he was around in 1907? Do you know Dora's date of birth or just going from bmd info? This looks to be her birth registered in June Qtr, so she could have been born as early as mid-late February 1907 if a late registration (6 weeks grace given to reg. a birth) So Dad could have been missing from mid 1906 - or even earlier !! |

Brandon is a village in County Durham, England. It is situated a short distance to the southwest of Durham. Brandon was originally one of the seven townships within the ancient parish of Brancepeth. In May 1877, under a newly confirmed provisional order, the Parish of Brandon and Byshottles was formed into a local government district governed by a local board, finally breaking away from the Parish of Brancepeth. |

I am trying to trace the whereabouts o f my g.father William Hodgson b.26.6.1867 in Brandon, Co. Durham. I found him on 1901 census, but no clue of his whereabouts after 1907. |
