Can I do a family Tree for an elderly friend. Would I be able to use my account to do it?

Not on your account I think

You can download though free family tree sites like legacy and do a tree for your friend on that

you can set up another tree on here, but not using your account.

It is possible to be a free member of GR, and that allows you to set up a tree and build it, but not to open records on here or to contact members. You can search Member trees and see if any of the names are on there.

You have to set up a different email address to do it ....... just use one of the free sites, such as gmail

Then you would use your own paid account to search records on here (if that is what you do), and to contact other members who might have a name in their tree. You would say something along the lines of "I am doing this on behalf of a friend who iss not a member of GR"
