Not sure if this is helpful but I looked at the Death records for Joseph Atkin for 1973 and there only appears to be one in the London area which is the one you mentioned. With deceased on-line there is also only one of that name buried 16.7.1973 St Pancras Cemetery (Camden) which isn't that far from Hackney. Could they have typed the wrong date as seems a bit of a coincidence. Just a thought. |

That looks like a good possibility MBSG. Mistakes are often made. The inscription on my grandmother's headstone (which must have been added at a later date) says she died on 21st June - but she actually died on 4th June and was buried on 6th June. |

Mistakes do happen. The burial register for a direct line relative has the 'organisers' name completely wrong. His son is alive to dispute the entry, but won't bother. That'll cause problems for other researchers ;-) |
