On the entry at the Probate site the entry is "Olive Westoll otherwise Olive Horton" died in Hove in 1975. Why does it mention otherwise Horton, her husband Frank died 1973 no Will.
They had two children Stanley 1927 - 2013 and a daughter born 1939. A friend was at school with the daughter and I have been trying to trace her without any success - so they could catch up on old times.
The family lived in Staines, Twickenham, Hounslow area. I did trace Stanley's two sons and she has been in contact with them but they have lost touch with their aunt. If anyone know this family and would like more information on the daughter can they send me a personal reply.
Thanks
Lesley

Transcription or miss-spelling aside 'otherwise known as' usually implies that she was also known by that name.
Perhaps she co-habited with a Mr Horton having seperated earlier from her husband, or even started to live with him after Frank had died? May be Stanley's sons know what went on.
Would you consider purchasing a copy of her DC? As long as the address wasn't a Care Home, it could then be checked against the ER. The informant could be a relative.

Could this be the family in the 1911 census (on the image the head of household's name is William):-
1911 England, Wales & Scotland Census Transcription 126 Woodpecker Road New Cross S E, St Paul Deptford, London, England
First name(s) Last name Relationship Marital status Sex Occupation Age Birth year Birth place
- Staples Head Married Male Carpenter 37 1874 Lincolnshire Alice Staples Wife Married Female - 37 1874 Grimsby Harold Staples Son - Male - 12 1899 London Deptford Olive Staples Daughter - Female - 10 1901 London Deptford<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Lillian Staples Daughter - Female - 10 1901 London Deptford Stanley Staples Son - Male - 4 1907 London Deptford
Is it possible that her father was born as Horton or Harton and took a step-father's name of Staples?
EDIT - No, her father was born as Staples:-
First name(s) ROBERT WILLIAM H Last name STAPLES Birth year 1874 Birth quarter 2 Registration month - Mother's last name - District CAISTOR County Lincolnshire Country England Volume 7A Page 627

Her parents still called Staples in the 1939 Register:-
Staples Household Penge U.D., Kent, England
FIRST NAME(S) LAST NAME(S) BIRTH YEAR William R H Staples 1874 Alice S Staples is also on this record
Perhaps DeTecTive is right and she lived with someone called Horton so was known by both names.

If you wanted assistance to try and find the daughter, we do need her name. The only Westoll/Staples birth that, on first glance, shows up is Stanley's. Is that why you are being reticent? ;-) ;-)

Thanks so much for all your replies, I have not investigated the Staples family too much as the reason for this is so my friend can find the lady called Sally 1939/
As I couldn't find her birth I guessed correctly she was adopted and the nephew was able to confirm this, she left school and went to the Norland Training College - I have found parents and Stanley living at 4 Wynham Cresent, Hounslow during the 1950s and 1960s
I found a marriage for a Sally who married a Raymond Carr in 1963 and my friend wrote to a Sally Carr who I found via FMP electoral registers but this Sally said it was not her.
I have found a couple of children with the surname Carr and maiden name of Westoll, which I need to investigate, I have tried all the usual social websites, Genes trees, Ancestry without any luck.
I am going to suggest my friend purchases the Will as Olive might have left money to Stanley and Sally and if Sally is included it might give her married or name she is living under.
I wanted to try and find out what the wording otherwise known as meant before emailing the detail to this friend and then she will have to decide which way to go I thought the nephews might be able to help but they do not know where she went although they said they thought she married a British Service man and lived in Germany but apparently it was not a happy union so she could be divorced and living under another name.
Thanks again you people on the community are wonderful.

It seems to be a sensible suggestion to buy the Will.
It's always possible the children took the surname of a stepfather or do you now believe they could be the offspring of the 'wrong' Sally? Westoll isnt exactly a common name Have you looked at the Overseas marriages on FMP if you still have access to check if she married another British serviceman?
Does Norland have an Old Girls Association? Have you tried that route?

I will look at overseas marriages and suggest she buys the will.
My friend wrote a long time to Norland but no reply received, however have found a Facebook page regarding college and just posted details of Sally in case any of her friends are there.
Thanks
