On the 1939 Registration Sydney Braddon 1895 - 1965 wife Florence Mary 1895 - 1977 are living in Swilly Road, Plymouth married - 1918 all lived and died in Cornwall or Devon, have searched for Wills without luck.

I do not know who Valerie is cannot find any birth marriage or death for a Valerie Mills or Braddon in fact I am not sure if the Braddon in brackets means she married a Braddon or a Mills.

I have found a daughter for Sydney and Florence Elizabeth born 1935 Devonport.

Thanks for your help, it's strange as there does not seem to be an answer to why the Mills and Braddon names, and details of her birth. I too had found the death of a Valerie Mills she left a Will with money left to a Thomas Mills, I wonder if she is adopted and name changed perhaps from Mills to Braddon and her Christian names were different.

I may think of buying the marriage certificate to find name of father, although she is a very distant relative or trying to visit record offices or Church.

I never thought of looking at Scotland well done as they were all born in Devon area and died there but that seems fine, is that from the Newspaper Archives on FMP which I have a subscription for, will now try and search using the marriage hints of Mills and the other marriage perhaps the one in 1942 did not last or he died.

Unfortunately I now have to go out its so annoying when on the trail of a person that normal everyday life gets in the way.

Valerie F P Braddon married Ronald F A Hawken in 1942 (Plympton district)

She married Thomas W Mills (as Valerie F P Hawken) in 1963 (Plymouth district)

A Ronald F A Hawken died in 1980 (Plymouth district)

Rushed back as soon as I could never thought of two marriages but little experience yet of 1939 Registration

Valerie Mills address 58 St Leonards Road, Plymouth died in July left small amount of money to husband Thomas William rather sad she was not very old and only had two married years with her new husband.

Thomas W Mills if born in 1911 died two years later - no Will in Plymouth however there are a lot of Thomas Mills.

Ronald Hawen did not leave a Will but although born in Plymouth came from Brisbane in 1939 (maybe his family emigrated and he returned to fight) they had a daughter Sandra K Hawken 1945 Plymouth.
