FindMyPast have quite a lot of Australian and NZ records.

It depends when.

Any BMD on line have a longer closure than the England/Wales GRO index. The majority are held by State rather than centrally.

Ancestry have a number of records such as Electoral Rolls to 1980.
Ryerson index for newspaper notices for deaths
Cemetery indexes depending when & where
Trove for on-line newspapers to 1950
ShipsLists for. Outward bound from the UK sea travel + uk outward bound passenger lists on this site and others
National archive of Australia for Passenger arrivals, naturalisation & WW1 records. They may have some WW2 ones opened.

There is a thread with links to many sites, if someone could find it + of course, your fellow helpful members.

Can anyone tell me how to research the Australian side of my family tree please.
