I agree with RR

the word used for Sarah is Neuse, and that for James is Nevew

think of a Welsh speaker trying to spell words said in English :-)

The Welsh word for niece would, I think, be nith, and the Welsh for nephew would be nai

that's according to BBC Wales - Welsh at home - The family (1)

Although both transcriptions claim "Event Type Marriage", I think the earlier one is a banns record.

Banns read on

November 30th
December 7th
December 14th

Marriage took place on December 17th. Williams father was John and Anns father was Solomon. Witnesses were Benjamin Williams and Thomas Smith.
