I hadnt heard of FTDNA, but Gedmatch is free and gives everyone's email addresses once a match is shown up. Good luck. |

You can also upload your "raw data" to FTDNA for free - however- if you want to open it there is a charge of $39.00 :-( |

I had my DNA done on Ancestry some time ago but only just downloaded the 'raw dna' and uploaded it to Gedmatch. I just wanted to remind people that they can do this as like me, a lot of people dont seem to know and they think they only have matches on the Ancestry site. Gedmatch threw up 1500 new matches. I hope nobody minds me posting this, I cant be the only technophobe! :-D |
