her mum died in 1933 and i think her dad albert e grocock remarried to a phyllis

which i have got the info for albert and phyllis

but winifred is not with them

There is a closed record, sandwiched between Albert Jnr and Brian. Brian above has occupation as ditto on the original, so that closed record is the one that says under school age and you can see -----? school age actually written as the masking is a bit wavy!
So not Winifred as she would be old enough for school.

winifred selby

looking on freebmd the children they had were
john h 1925
winifred 1927
albert 1929
barbara 1931
gladys 1933

all born nottingham

grocock and mothers maiden name selby

they also had another child who i think died as a baby

so where are these children in 1939 if i have the right albert e in 1939

The other child looks to be Dorothy and she died Q4 1930, her birth having been registered Q3.

All the children would be too young to show on the 1939 register unless they have died pre 1991 or a later death has been proved. So they could be any one of dozens of closed records unfortunately, visiting just next door even.....

There are 2 closed records on that second 1939 register posting from safc
