There are gaps in the NZ records. He may well have died there, the registers could be lost. I am missing several NZ records. I know for example that a certain court-house burnt down in the early 1900s, and as a result my father-in-law could never prove his birth date. |

Not sure where you're going with that one Malyon- the man above is on every UK census, appears with a family, is a market gardener, and born c1841??? |
